It’s hardly a matter of debate how important it is to “recharge your batteries” once in a while in order to be as efficient as you can be at work or in your day to day life. And we advise you do just that. Whenever you want to take some days off and leave everything behind (provided that doesn’t happen in world crisis moments like the corona virus pandemic we’re all living through today), you should definitely consider Ciudad Quesada. Also, and even of more interest to us, a real estate agency, you should definitely look into permanently relocating in the area and living a relaxed and sunny life every day.
Ciudad Quesada is an extensive urbanization within the municipality of Rojales, turned into a charming little town. Next to the La Marquesa golf course and within ten minutes, by car, of several beaches in Guardamar del Segura, its location is one of the major selling points. Partially surrounded by the La Mata lagoon, an area of 700 hectares of nature with an amazing biodiversity and close to the Elche-Alicante international airport, it’s waiting for you to get there and be thoroughly impressed.
Currently home to some 30,000 properties, Ciudad Quesada is an amazingly multicultural place, with a population made up of mostly Central European and British nationalities. As a consequence many shops in the area would offer products characteristic of different areas so as to satisfy all the local demand. This feature is mixed with the distinctive tranquillity without the risk of boredom that this unique place has to offer.
Here we give you some suggestions of activities you could engage in if you live in, or visit, Ciudad Quesada:
Hiking through the Laguna La Mata
For all of you lovers of nature and tranquillity grabbing a backpack, putting on some comfortable hiking boots and going for a walk through the local lagoon can only be exciting. There are several hiking routes in and around Ciudad Quesada, but one of the most endearing for nature lovers as well as for those who like to practice bird watching is the Laguna La Mata.
The route through the lagoon and Torrevieja is flat and easy to do for both beginner and more experienced hikers. There are 17.5 kilometres between both lagoons. The physical effort necessary for completing the route is very small and the landscape is impressive.
Go for a relaxing spa experience
Another activity you should not miss in Ciudad Quesada is going to a spa and let someone take care of your well-being for a morning, afternoon or a whole day. In the spa of the Hotel La Laguna, you can enjoy what they call the 'Circuit of the Senses'. The circuit comprises a wellness area of hot and cold contrasts, a relaxation area and saltwater Jacuzzi, and going through all of them you will work all your senses: sight, smell, taste, touch and hearing. To release tension you can enjoy a bamboo or chocolate massage, or receive anti-stress therapy. You will leave there more relaxed than ever. The spa at Hotel La Laguna has an important advantage, you do not need to be a client of the hotel to enjoy its facilities.
A fun day in the Rojales Aquapark
During the summer season, the Rojales Aquapark is one of the main water activities that will increase your adrenaline levels by jumping on its endless slides. Are you ready to put on a swimming suit and start having fun? Then this is the place to be!
